About Me

Kerri Finnesand: I am an educator of sixteen years. I received my undergraduate degree from Penn State University, and my master’s degree from the University of Houston. I have been a building administrator for eleven years, and have had the pleasure of working with a diverse student population. I began my Katy ISD career seven years ago as the principal of Mayde Creek Elementary, a school wide Title I campus, where together we were able to achieve considerable academic gains. Most recently, I had the honor of opening Katy ISD’s newest and one of the largest elementary schools. As we embark on our third year, we are excited about our diverse, learning community…Growing is a Grand Adventure!
